Scope and content
These records consist of photographic slides of butterflies, moths, and their eggs and larvae from the collection created by Betty Walker.
Walker began photographing insects in the 1950s, and this collection of over 1100 photographic slides shows her skill at creating highly detailed, up-close images, especially of her favourite butterflies. She was associated with the Thunder Bay Field Naturalists, and presented at their meetings.
Many of the species depicted in the slides have now been identified; the attached PDF gives a more thorough index of the images.
