This file contains several documents relting to the history of Thunder Bay, including a photocopied document about the search and excavation of an Intaglio Dog Effigy Mound near Port Arthur, as well as a series of newspaper and agazine articles from Lakehead Living, The Thunder Bay Magazine, and The Chronicle-Journal concerning the Sleeping Giant, Kakabeka Falls, Mount McKay, and the history of the twin cities. There are also several photocopies of newspaper articles about winter storms and name changes to Fort William and Port Arthur from the early 1900s, a map of Lake Superior Provincial Park made by the Ministry of Natural Resources, a list of resources on the Indigenous peoples of the Lakehead, and a timeline compiled by Keith Denis for the Thunder Bay Historical Museum Society. Finally, photocopied pages from Proceedings and Transactions of the Royal Society of Canada and "The Lost Mother Mine" from an unidentified book.
