This file contains correspondence between Penny Petrone and Gretchen Bataille of the University of California concerning the topic of Canadian Indigenous authors/literature. There is also some information on women in the Indigenous community that are relevant to Petrone and Bataille's research, as well as a guideline for contributors of "Native American Women: A Biographical Dictionary". There are a list of names being added to this second edition dictionary, and a letter asking Petrone to contribute if she would like, as well as a letter from Bataille in 1990 concerning the first edition and inviting Petrone to contribute to that as well.

This series follows the development of the Social Responsibility Committee (SRC) established in 2004 for the Bay Credit Union (BCU) in Thunder Bay. From the social audit of the BCU, establishment of the SRC, service evaluations, and community engagement, the series details Bay Credit Union’s responsive strategy for improving and participating in social responsibility activities in Thunder Bay.

The files contain a social audit, research, SRC meeting minutes, community partnerships, Credit Union reports, and assessment frameworks. During the time of records creation, Steve Mantis serves in primary leadership roles with the Social Responsibility Committee.
