This file contains a letter sent October 16, 1958 to Penny Petrone from A.A. Smith, Director of Education from the Department of National Defence. In his letter Smith thanks Petrone for her letter thanking him for the opportunity to teach abroad. He remarks it is the first letter he has received from any of the teachers that have had this experience.
