Scope and content
This file has a copy of the Debates and Proceedings of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan (Hansard) from March 14, 1989. This is a significant piece because this was the first time Cree syllabics appeared in Hansard - the official transcript of debate in the assembly. Keith Goulet delivered the first part of his reply to the throne speech in Cree, critiquing the government for making no mention of Indigenous or Metis people.
