Correspondence between John Styffe, D. E. McKay Agency, Fort William, Ontario, Insurance broker for John Styffe and Osborn & Lange Insurance Co. in Chicago. Included in the file is a description of the Pulpwood Raft Incident. Receipts from United States Salvage Association for services rendered to survey the damage. The Raft Claim was settled at $1,729.91 for American Underwriters and $706.63 for London Underwriters. Correspondence between D. E. McKay Agency and John Styffe concerning aviation insurance for employees. Raft "Mazokamah" the pulpwood raft that broke apart was being towed from the mouth of Moose Creek to Loon Harbour towed by the tug Bayfield II. The raft was only covered for 4000 cords but Osborn & Lange accepted the claim with 32 extra cords. Osborn & Lange insurance statement of partial loss of the pulpwood raft. June 1945 - December 1946.
