Records were donated in 2026 by Beverley (Peach) Coulson, daughter of William Peach. Records had been held in the family until donation.
Scope and content
William Peach was president of the Port Arthur Riding Liberal Association, worked for C.D. Howe at his engineering firm.
These records consist of correspondence between W.J. Bennett, Private Secretary to C.D. Howe, and William Peach, and relate to issues affecting Howe's Port Arthur constituency. Common themes include employment, improvements to postal services, dredging and other infrastructure, and the 1937 Ontario election.
