Recording of an oral history conducted with Rose Allard (1909?-2002) by her daughter Sandra Allard, beginning December 16, 1981. Rose Allard was the child of Italian immigrants to Northwestern Ontario. In these interviews she speaks about her family, childhood, and life in Port Arthur and in Beardmore.

This file also contains a typewritten document with information on Harry Robinson (1900-1990) who grew up in the Similkameen Valley B.C. and was a retired rancher. Robinson's writing was inspired from the oral tradition of story-telling from his grandparents and was edited by Wendy Wickeire. Additionally, this file contains a newspaper article from The Globe and Mail on Saturday, February 10, 1990 titled "The voice and performance of the storyteller." The article is a review by Thomas King on Harry Robinsons book titled "Write It On Your Heart: The Epic World Of An Okanagan Storyteller."
