Records of a research project by Raija Warkentin, Finnish-Canadian Immigrant Women’s Health Research. This research was conducted in Thunder Bay from 1996-2002 through a series of interviews with Finnish-Canadian women who had immigrated to the Thunder Bay area. Warkentin asked a variety of open-ended questions pertaining to their family health histories, natural home remedies for illnesses used by Finnish people; and exploring Finnish-Canadian women’s health generally.
This collection includes interviews in both English and Finnish, newspaper clippings, photographs, and Raija Warkentin’s own journal entries through the process of these interviews.
